What I like the most about Gene Gyunn's work is the usage of scars as a media to represent people's past, their memories, their pain, and experiences. Like an actual scar, there is always something reminding of of what had happened before, these scars are part of the person, and make up who they are.Another aspect that I like is how the eyes are hidden. It creates the illusion that their eyes are our eyes, making it feel more personal. The scars they have reflects the ones we have, not physically, but emotionally.
